"Waiting On" Wednesday is an event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The purpose of this weekly event is to spotlight a soon-to-be-released book that you are very much anticipating. "Waiting On" Wednesday will also give bloggers an opportunity to share ideas for our TBR lists.

Title: The Goddess Test (The Goddess Test, #1)
Author: Amiee Carter
Publisher: Harlequin, 304 Pages (April 19th 2011)
Preorder here: Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository

Synopsis: It's always been just Kate and her mom--and now her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she succeeds, she'll become Henry's future bride, and a goddess.

If she fails...

Title: Hourglass
Author: Myra McEntire
Publisher: EgmontUSA, 352 Pages (May 24th 2011)
Preorder here: Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository

Synopsis: Since the age of fourteen, Emerson Cole has seen strange things – dead things – swooning Southern Belles, soldiers, and other eerie apparitions of the past. She’s tried everything to get rid of the visions: medication, counseling, asylums. Nothing’s worked.

So when Emerson's well-meaning brother calls in yet another consultant from a mysterious organization called the Hourglass, Emerson’s willing to give it one last try.

Michael Weaver is no ordinary consultant. He's barely older than she is; he listens like no one she's ever met before; and he doesn't make her feel the least bit crazy. As Emerson ventures deeper into the world of the Hourglass, she begins to learn the truth about her past, her future--and her very life.

Both of these titles in today's WoW sounds so different from each other, yet are must reads. The Goddess Test has another amazing cover - and God of Hades - yeah, I'm excited to read it and thankful that I have a copy here, so keep an eye out for a review sometime in the near future. Hourglass sounds like it might be a bit on the creepy side, I mean the cover alone is so different and eerily beautiful. If I didn't know anything about this book, the cover alone would have me hooked. Any thoughts on either or both of these?
