Synopsis: From the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Addison MooreNew Adult *Intended for mature audiences.

Baya Brighton is looking forward to her first year at Whitney Briggs University, new friends, dorm life, and finally being close to her brother again. Love is the last thing on the list, but when Baya meets her brother’s roommate she begins to have thoughts and feelings that make even her blush.

Bryson Edwards has a secret he prefers buried in the past and long forgotten. He prefers loose girls, fast cars, and long nights working at the string of bars his family owns. When his roommate’s sister shows up on the scene, she’s far too innocent and sweet for him but he can’t shake Baya out of his mind and worse, it looks like she’s seeping into his heart as well.

Baya seems determined to show her brother she’s not a little kid and equally determined to use Bryson’s body to prove her point. It’s been made pretty clear that Baya is off limits to Bryson but their undeniable sparks explode into a whole lot more than just a few 3:AM KISSES.

Review: 4 Stars - 3:AM Kisses by Addison Moore is one of those books that I was instantly intrigued by. From synopsis to cover I knew I just had to read this story and find out more about its two main characters Baya and Bryson who are very entertaining!

Baya, your typical collage age freshman wants to break out from the good, prefect girl image that her older brother has constantly forced upon her. She’s ready to experience life, her first time living away from home and to find out who she is. For most college freshman this is the case, so I was glad to see her trying to break free from the pressure of being perfect escaping from under her brothers’ thumb. This is made difficult as they attend the same school but Baya will do anything to break free and live her life her way.

Bryson is her brothers roommate and let me just say that Bryson and her brother Cole have had their fair share of hook-ups. They have the notches on their walls to prove it. And I just have to mention that this part of the whole story creeped me out. I mean Cole is so protective of his sister almost oppressively and yet he doesn’t do anything to change his ways while in her company. I think this was the most off putting of the whole story. I felt he didn’t even consider her feelings at all while she stayed with him for reasons you’ll just have to read to find out… it really bothered me he would be so inconsiderate to his sister that he treated as an adolescent.

While Bryson has been just as bad as Cole when it comes to his conquests you get a chance to see him as he struggles with his past and his attraction to Baya. He doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Cole yet he can’t get Baya out from under his skin.

The relationship between Bryson and Baya was often sweet and then often steamy. They had their ups and downs and I liked the fact that we have a chance to see both change and grow.

While the book is far from perfect and if I’m being honest, as I always am… I would have had no trouble giving this book a 3 star review. The reason for the 4 stars was for the fact that there were some pretty funny moments and the snark level was also high. I liked how in all the seriousness that there was light and playful moments between the characters. They had heart and it did come through here and there. I also liked that there was a twist that I didn’t see coming and was thankful that Moore added that extra layer of surprise for her readers.

Another “HIT” for me was how the story was told in dual points of view between Baya and Bryson. I always love having a chance to get a better idea what’s going on in the characters heads. I’ve always been a huge advocate for dual points of view and with every story I read that does this I think I fall deeper and deeper in love with it.

So, in the end while this wasn’t the best, yet there were enough moments throughout that it hit its mark for me and gave me a few hours of enjoyment as I followed along the story for Moore’s characters. This might have been my first title I’ve read by Moore but I can guarantee it’s won’t be the last. For readers who enjoy characters with humor and snark, romance that sweet and steamy and those who are looking to tip their toe into the “New Adult” category, this book fits perfectly. Enjoy!

  1. I have been loving new adult books and while this doesn't seem like the most unique of the titles out there, it does seem like something I would love. Plus I have read a few of Addison's books and they are all wonderful!

    Thanks for the great review!
