Review: Awakened (The Guardian Legacy #1)
Review: Betrayed (The Guardian Legacy #2)
Synopsis: Bran and Lil may have escaped an attempt to lure Lil to the dark side, and recovered the contracts damned people signed with Bran when he was a soul collector, but someone forgot to tell them that no one switches sides or cancels contracts without consequences.
Hunted by an unknown but powerful enemy, Lil, Bran and the Guardians must seek help from unlikely sources to avert total annihilation of the Guardians. When they finally face their enemy, one of them may have to make the ultimate sacrifice.
Review: 4 Stars - Hunted is the third book in The Guardian Legacy series by author Ednah Walters. The story picks up right where we left Lil and Bran in the second installment. And this reader couldn’t wait to dive right into a series that I have come to love and enjoy.
Walters did not disappoint! She knows how to write a series for Young Adults that have you cheering for the hero’s and heroines of the story and wanting to do some damage to all the evil in their world.
Let me tell you, Lil, Bran and their friends have been through more than their fair share of troubles. Lil and Bran are two characters who have continued to grow over the course of the three books. Watching them come together with their friends as a group of Guardians that many should and do fear has been a pleasure.
The romance between Lil and Bran is something I’ve come to look forward to. There is more to their relationship then meets the eye. What they’ve been through and continue to go through after Hunted would make or break anyone and the two feel the brunt force of all that they have against them time and time again.
In Hunted, Lil and Bran and everyone in their world are faced with an evil they haven’t seen before. Or so they think. And as always with the Guardian Legacy books we have more than a few edge of our seat, hold your breath - wish for the best moments.
Another thing I’ve come to love about the series, you never know just what these characters are going to face next and how they’ll all come out on the other side.
For me, the books, the series, the characters and the author have all become a favorite. I look forward to each book to see where Walters is going to take her characters and the reader next. Speaking of the next book… Okay, the ending of this one I read more than once. I might have gripped the book a bit too hard and shock it in my hands crying why, why, WHY!!!??? I’m being 100% serious here when I say that THAT ending I wanted to hurt someone. I couldn’t believe what Walters did at the end of Hunted. My heart hurts to think what’s right around the corner. Not sure I can take it but at the same time I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
All in all, this is a great series with writing and characters that continue to impress me with the turn of each page. It’s a series I look forward to reading with each new book and a series that I believe many fans of a solid YA titles would also find much to love. Walters and her Guardians are a favorite of mine and I think I’ll stick around for the long haul. Now, where’s book number four?

About the author:
I grew up reading Nancy Drew and Hardy boys mysteries, hence Stratemeyer influence, before I graduated to Mills & Boons (starting with Janet Daily's Shutter the Sky) and the rest is history. I enjoy good love stories, tingly mysteries and wondrous adventures. When I finished my college and decided to be a stay-at-home mother, I devoured books like they were going out of production, until reading just wasn't enough. So I started to write. I've written picture books, contemporary and romantic suspense, biracial/multicultural books, and finally YA fantasy. Awakened is the first book in The Guardian Legacy series. I'm working on book 2, tentatively named Betrayed. When I'm not writing, I do things with my family, five children or my darling husband of 18 years. I live in a picturesque valley in Utah, the setting for my series.

AMAZING! There is not enough words to describe how much I loved Hunted. Ednah Walters has outdid herself if that is even possible. ~Megan McDade
