Today's the day!

Boarding a plane to the UK is always super stressful for me. With my anxiety it makes it even more difficult. This long of a flight doesn't make it any easier, but I can't wait! I miss my second home and all my family and friends there. It's been over two long years and to say that I'm homesick for the island is an understatement.

Tears will be shed, nerves will be a wreck and prayers for sleep during our first flight, the long haul flight will be a plenty.

I'll see everyone on the other side and will post as soon as I can after we've arrived. It might just be something quick, but I plan to take a few days off, if not longer but I do have some post set up to go live so the blog won't be totally dark.

So sorry for the lack of much content recently. I greatly appreciate your patience during this crazy time in my life. <3

Using last years horrible graphic again lol

So, it's that time of year again. Tomorrow afternoon I'll be on my way to the airport for the long, long journey from Southern California to Liverpool! We can't wait, we can't wait, WE CAN'T WAIT!

We have a long day ahead of us, door to door it's almost 24 hours and who knows if we'll be facing even more delays due to the furloughs and cut backs at airports across the country. On top of an 8 hour time difference to get used to, but it's all worth it. This year we'll be gone a little longer than we have in the past which is always great when we're talking about a vacation.

I miss the city that has become my second home and my family there so I can't wait to see everyone and everything. SO EXCITED!

While I'm away, I'll be on twitter (@BoundByBooks so be sure to follow me there) and in email on and off during my time away. I also have some posts planned. Might not be as much as I have been for the last few months but I'm trying to set up enough posts for at least a few or more a week.

When I get back in June you can look for content to pick right back up again and some much needed maintenance  My blog has been suffering for so long from my slacking that I just need to take some time to update a lot of things here, so hang tight guys! Also when I return I'll be hosting my annual UK giveaway!! YAY!!! I love doing that and I look forward to it every year.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us that we're not delayed too long, I don't want us to miss our connecting flight in Heathrow and I hope you all have a wonderful May! See you in June!

Well, I had pictured my graphic looking a bit better... oh well, you get the idea lol So, while this is posting I'll be running around like crazy getting ready to head to the airport for vacation. I'll be gone for the month of May, but not to worry, I've been working like a mad woman to make sure there are posts scheduled for while I'm away. I have tons of things coming up, reviews, WoWs, guest posts, etc.

I'm really excited for this trip. To get a chance to see my In-Laws & bunch of other family there, not to mention getting some much needed down time. We usually go each year for the month of May and last year I didn't get a chance to go, so I've been more than missing it.

Please send good thoughts our way for a good and quick (10 hours, for the first one - I don't think so!) flight. I'll have limited computer access while I'm away, but will be on twitter here and there and checking emails when I can. I will be sharing some pictures on twitter while I'm away, so if you would like to follow me there (@BoundByBooks) you'll get to see some of the sites just as we do.

One thing that were really looking forward to is a group of about 10 of us are going to Scotland for the day! We'll be in Edinburgh on the 15th of May. We are looking forward to taking in a tour of the tunnels under the city and seeing the castle there. We've never been and were all very excited.

When I get back, I'll have my usual UK giveaway starting. I'll have to wait and see what fun goodies I find on our trip. You can be on the look out for that at the beginning of June!

Los Angeles to Liverpool

England, here we come!

So, I know many of you know because I've been talking about this for the last... oh, month or so that I'm heading to the UK for about 3 weeks, if the ash cloud from the Volcano in Iceland permits that is. I thought it best that I put my blog on hiatus while I'm gone. There will be a couple things posting while I'm away, so keep an eye out for those. You won't want to miss out on them, trust me!

I'll be checking email and maybe checking in with everyone on Twitter while I'm gone... just I won't have enough time to post anything other then what I have scheduled. Also, while I'm away I plan to doing some shopping for books! I'm on the look out for some great British authors that I can bring back to share with you in reviews and a contest!! Thinking it might be fun to pick up a couple extra books of some UK authors or maybe even some favorite books with the UK covers and hold a contest. Another thing to be on the look out for here.

I hope you'll all stick around while I'm gone. I'll miss all my followers, I'll miss reading all the blogs I love and often lurk at. I'll miss everyone I chat with on Twitter too, but I'll be back soon and will look forward to catching up with everyone then. I mean you guys will all miss me too, right? lol

So, with that I have to head out and make sure I have everything packed and ready to go. Our flight comes early in the morning tomorrow and it's a long day we have ahead of us. Don't forget to watch out for those posts that I mentioned and have scheduled for you guys... it'll be well worth it!
