It’s a fact that book lovers know all about the covers of the books they covet. Often when a title is released here in the UK, it’s sometimes vastly different across the pond in the US. So, Michelle from Much Loved Books and I have come together to create Book Wars to talk about the difference in covers when it comes to the US vs. UK versions.
We hope from time to time authors will chime in with their thoughts as well. We welcome everyone to comment and share their thoughts too! The more the merrier!
Before we get to this weeks Book Wars, we have a winner to announce. The Book Wars winner for The Jewel by Amy Ewing is...UK!!!!!! Thank you to everyone who voted for both books, and for picking a winner.
Also, there's a poll at the bottom of the post that we'd love to hear your input for the two covers! Tell us which one YOU love the most.

Synopsis: Their Romeo-and-Juliet-level passion is the only thing Jude and Lucy agree on. That, and fighting all the time . . .
Also not helping? Lucy's raging jealousy of the cheerleader who's wormed her way into Jude's life.
While trying to hang on to her quintessential bad boy and also training to be the top ballet dancer in her class, Lucy knows something's going to give . . . soon.
How can she live without the boy she loves? How can she live with herself if she gives up on her dreams? If Lucy doesn't make the right choice, she could lose everything.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.
Lisa This week is such an easy choice for me. Hands down, the US cover. The UK one seems so far from the YA/New Adult title that this is. If I saw this on a shelf in the YA section of a book store I'd think it was put in the wrong place. So, it's the US cover that gets my vote this week. Which cover gets YOUR vote? Let us know in the poll below!
Michelle
This is an easy choice for me this week. I first read Clash before the UK cover had been released, so for me, the USA cover represented the book. When I saw the UK cover I was not at all impressed. It reminds me too much of an erotica type novel, rather than a YA one.
The USA represents both Lucy and Ryder on this cover, and for this week, my vote obviously goes to USA.
absolutely the usa covers, for sure. i was so upset that harpercollins couldn't stick with williams's self-published covers... having to give them a makeover and all that. the original self-pub covers were perfect for the series!
