"Waiting On" Wednesday is an event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The purpose of this weekly event is to spotlight a soon-to-be-released book that you are very much anticipating. "Waiting On" Wednesday will also give bloggers an opportunity to share ideas for our TBR lists.

Title: The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2)
Author: Rick Yancey
Publisher: Putnam Juvenile, 480 Pages (September 16th, 2014)
Add to: Goodreads
Pre-order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

Synopsis: The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

Title: Illusions of Fate
Author: Kiersten White
Publisher: HarperTeen, 288 Pages (September 9th, 2014)
Add to: Goodreads
Pre-order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

Synopsis: Downton Abbey meets Cassandra Clare in this lush, romantic fantasy from New York Times bestselling author Kiersten White.

“I did my best to keep you from crossing paths with this world. And I shall do my best to protect you now that you have.”

Jessamin has been an outcast since she moved from her island home of Melei to the dreary country of Albion. Everything changes when she meets Finn, a gorgeous, enigmatic young lord who introduces her to the secret world of Albion’s nobility, a world that has everything Jessamin doesn’t—power, money, status…and magic. But Finn has secrets of his own, dangerous secrets that the vicious Lord Downpike will do anything to possess. Unless Jessamin, armed only with her wits and her determination, can stop him.

Kiersten White captured readers’ hearts with her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy and its effortless mix of magic and real-world teenage humor. She returns to that winning combination of wit, charm, and enchantment in Illusions of Fate, a sparkling and romantic new novel perfect for fans of Cassandra Clare, The Madman’s Daughter, and Libba Bray.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I can't believe another week is halfway over.... again! This week I have TWO books I can't wait to read. I LOVED The 5th Wave, so The Infinite Sea has been at the tip top of my MUST READ list for a long while now. If you haven't read The 5th Wave you should change that.

While I was at ALA a little over a week ago I was keeping EVERYTHING crossed that I'd be able to pick up an ARC and they didn't have any. They had a nice poster up of the cover and I heard a lot of people talking about it but no early copies. Bummed but I'm glad that we don't have to wait TOO much longer for this one.

The other book is one I've been loving the cover for for awhile. I can't wait to read it! And I was lucky to pick up a copy at ALA so I'll be checking this out one soon. Kiersten White's previous books have been great so this was exciting to hear more about and to have on my shelves.

What books are YOU waiting for this Wednesday? And what are YOUR thoughts of the two books I've picked for this weeks WoW?

*covers are always subject to change.
