Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.

Lisa For me, this week there is no question. I LOVE the US cover. In person it's pretty beautiful as well. I love how her dress is blended so well into the white rose. I love all the small images you can also see almost like ghosts of her throughout the cover as well.

As for the UK cover... just not feeling it. The title is white rose yet they have pink rose petals falling. That's not the only reason why I'm not a fan, but that's one of the key things I'm seeing that just doesn't work for me. So the US is getting my vote this week.

Michelle This is such an easy choice for me this week. I think both of these covers are beautiful in their own way, but the one that wins for me is the US cover. The UK cover is pretty and shiny in real life, and I do like the flame and petal effect, how the characters are central and very in your face, but a pretty dress wins the round for me. The US cover has such an amazing dress on the cover and I love how it blends into a rose, which fits perfectly with the title. For me, the winner is US this week, don't forget to vote for your favourite below.

Lisa It's funny that Michelle's picked this cover for this weeks "Wars" because I was JUST reading about it in an email I'd received and thinking that the US cover is not only different but I really can't wait to see it in person.

Yet when you look at the UK version... it's interesting but no where near as eye catching as the US cover. At least that's what I think when I look at them side by side. So without a doubt, the US cover gets this weeks vote from me.

Michelle I initially thought this would be an easy choice for me, but looking at these covers next to each other I have to admit it's harder for me to actually decide.

The UK cover is dramatic and focuses the cover on the whole beam of light on this town. However, the USA cover has a variety of different characters, with the protagonists featuring more strongly against the others, making them stand out of the crowd.

After some deliberation my vote today is going for the USA cover. I prefer how relevant this is to the story itself, more than the UK cover is. I think it represents the characters and the idea behind the story better.

It’s a fact that book lovers know all about the covers of the books they covet. Often when a title is released here in the UK, it’s sometimes vastly different across the pond in the US. So, Michelle from Much Loved Books and I have come together to create Book Wars to talk about the difference in covers when it comes to the US vs. UK versions.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our Favorite cover.

Lisa Another quick and easy week for me. The US cover is just kind of blah. There's nothing much to it really. Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of boring-ish?

Now when you look at the UK cover, there's something that makes me want to pick this book up. It looks like a fun book to read and I'm all about geeks - being a self professed one myself.

If I were to pick up both books in a store I'd want to know more about the UK cover before the US one. Again, it just looks playful and makes me want to read these books sooner rather than later.

Michelle I love the cover for the USA cover, how it's feminine but also shows the little things that make Harriett who she is. However, I've been staring at the UK cover of this book since publication, and when this book is mentioned this is all I can envision. The UK cover shows all the bits that are Harriett. The problems, the formulas, and I just cover the facial expression of the model. It's a UK vote for me today, which cover gets your vote?
