Synopsis: WORLDS KEPT THEM APART. DESTINY BROUGHT THEM TOGETHER. Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she's never thought to dream of what lies beyond its doors. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim. Then Aria meets an outsider named Perry. He's searching for someone too. He's also wild - a savage - but might be her best hope at staying alive. If they can survive, they are each other's best hope for finding answers.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.
Lisa This week's is easy for me. Hands down I LOVE the US cover. Sadly the UK cover looks like the cover for an 80's rock album. I mean, does anyone else think that for the UK cover? I'm not a fan of the pink, I don't think that it fits the story or characters at all. So, without a doubt, US this week. Check out my review.

There is no competition at all with these covers. I love the USA version. The UK one just doesn't seem appealing to me. I don't like the pink moon, I don't like how the characters are portrayed, it feels more like a child's book than a Young Adult's book.
The USA cover thought is definitely eye catching. I love how the cover model is walking out of or away from something, which fits in with the story. It's just more appealing and more relevant to being a Young Adult book.

US cover without a doubt. Even the log-lines. Who would read "World's kept them apart, destiny brought them together" when they could read "A million ways to die, one way to live"?
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you Suzanna! 110%! Thanks for the comment :)
DeleteI very strongly dislike the cover for the UK version-I think it's so weird. I wasn't sure if that was cultural as I'm US and maybe Brits think it's super cool...
ReplyDeleteIt's VERY weird. It would have been off putting to me if that was the only cover. I would have still purchased it if that's all I had available after hearing so many people rave about it and all... but still, yeah, it's very, very weird. Thanks for the comment.
