Book Wars a weekly feature hosted between two book review blogs – A Life Bound By Books & Much Loved Books!
It’s a fact that book lovers know all about the covers of the books they covet. Often when a title is released here in the US, it’s sometimes vastly different across the pond in the US. So, Michelle from Much Loved Books and I have come together to create Book Wars to talk about the difference in covers when it comes to the US vs. UK versions.
We hope from time to time authors will chime in with their thoughts as well. We welcome everyone to comment and share their thoughts too! The more the merrier!
Before we get to this weeks Book Wars, we have a winner to announce. The Book Wars winner for Mindwalker (Mindwalker #1) by A.J. Steiger is..... the UK COVER!!! Thank you to everyone who voted for both books, and for picking a winner.
Also, there's a poll at the bottom of the post that we'd love to hear your input for the two covers! Tell us which one YOU love the most.

Synopsis: Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she's curious about her biological father—the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent—but that doesn't mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both.
Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror. They're the good guys. They protect people. They're…family. And while Emily—the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club's most respected member—is in town, he's gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it's his shot at his dream. What he doesn't count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down.
No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home.
An unforgettable new series from acclaimed author Katie McGarry about taking risks, opening your heart and ending up in a place you never imagined possible.

Let the Wars Begin: Its now time to make our decision, let's see what we think about the covers and pick our favorite cover.
Lisa Okay, can I just say how drastically different both of these covers are from one another? And the UK cover... just.... doesn't seem to fit the story. Or maybe it does? This is one book that I have near the top of my must read list and I'm really looking forward to diving right in.
So, about the covers... the US cover feels more polished than the UK cover. And I'm not going to apologize to being a sucker for a book about MC's nor am I going to do anything but admit that I'm kind of a sucker for a character on a bike on a cover. And while this book looks to be a bit about romantic love, and about an MC the US cover has an edge that fits. The UK cover feels a bit to flowery I guess you could say for a characters who are in and around a Motorcycle Club.
This week I've taken the long way around in talking about these covers, and my vote, which is going to the US cover. It's without a doubt kind of swoon-worthy and edgy and screams "Read Me!"
The US cover wins for me... which is the winning cover for YOU? Vote below with one click!

Michelle This is another easy choice for me. I do like the UK cover, but it just doesn't fit the darkens that I am guessing comes with this book. This cover belongs on a girly, romantic cover, and not a book involving biker gangs.
The US cover is gritty, edgy, distressed, and I love the biker boy in the background. THIS is the cover for me. It's a very easy US win for me this week.
Which cover gets your vote?
