Check out my Reviews of: I See London (I See London, #1)London Falling (International School, #2)

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+

Synopsis: On the surface Fleur Marceaux has it all—if only the façade matched reality. With one year left at the International School in London, Fleur’s struggling to graduate, her love life is a mess, and she can’t stop thinking about Max, her ex-boyfriend’s best friend. But all of that pales compared to the blackmailer determined to destroy her.

There’s a social hierarchy at the International School, and Max Tucker is outside the velvet ropes. After watching Fleur break his friend’s heart, Max knows to stay away from trouble—despite the crush he’s had on her since freshman year. But when they’re partnered on a project, Max learns there’s more to Fleur than meets the eye, and she just might be worth the wild ride.

The more time they spend together, the further Max falls. And when a kiss awakens a passion Fleur never imagined, she’s unable to resist Max, who she thought was wrong for her, but might be the only thing that’s right.

But will he stand by her when her secrets are revealed?

Don’t miss the final book in the International School series. This New Adult romance is recommended for readers 17 and up.

Review: 4.5 Stars - French Kissed is the third title in the International School trilogy from author Chanel Cleeton. This is a trilogy with the two books being about the same two characters and sub characters however the third book is about Fleur and Max who we’ve met and spent some time with in the previous two titles.

When I first heard that Cleeton was going to continue the International School series to a third book I was more than excited. I loved the previous two books and couldn’t wait for more. When I heard it was going to be focused on Fleur and her love interest, I got even more excited.

Then I started guessing just who would be her love interest and my first guess was Max because of just how much they appeared to hate each other. I figured with the kind of hate they felt for each other that there had to be something underneath that was driving such passionate feelings they had, and boy… I wasn’t wrong!

Fleur has changed and grown so much from when we first met her. She’s trying so hard to be more focused and wants more than how she’s been living. With her graduation right around the corner she’s questioning what comes next. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do with her life after school and these worries are one of the focal points of the story. With that along with her character growth and fate arriving in the form of a forced partnership in a project for one of her classes… Fleur’s changing and growing and facing just how much of her partying ways have helped to affect her possible future.

Max, what can I say about him? He’s smart, kind of shy and has his head on straight. He’s been fighting for way too long to complete his schooling to get a job in finance without the support of his family. He doesn’t want distractions and having to partner with Fleur for the project is the last thing he’d ever want or ask for.

The passion they have with their verbal sparring gives readers just a taste of what these two could really be together and being that this title is written in dual points of view it allows everyone a chance to see this story from both points of view, which I think was a HUGE plus.

I loved Fleur and Max and I loved how they changed each other along the way and learned from the other when it comes to living and life lessons. They each had their own struggles including coming from such different worlds. And the heat and sparks that fly once they change from fighting to interested to something more.

And Cleeton’s writing is pretty amazing. It’s so easy to read and the words just fly off of the page and before you know it you’ve read the whole book in what feels like the blink of the eye. Oh and I have to thank Cleeton for including some much needed and welcomed time with Samir and Maggie. I’ve missed them and now that I’ve finished all three books I’ll miss all four of these characters I’ve had the pleasure of spending some time with.

It’s a great set of “New Adult” contemporary books with steam, drama and so many memorable characters. I highly recommend this author and her books and I can’t wait to read her next trilogy – Capital Confessions in 2015! Happy reading, and enjoy!

About the Author:

Originally a Florida girl, CHANEL CLEETON moved to London where she received a bachelor’s degree from Richmond, The American International University in London and a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Chanel fell in love with London and planned to stay there forever, until fate intervened on a Caribbean cruise, and an American fighter pilot with smooth dance moves swept her off her feet. Now, a happily ever after later, Chanel is living her next adventure in South Korea.

Law school made Chanel realize she’d rather spend her days writing sexy stories than in a courtroom, and she hasn’t looked back since. An avid reader and hopeless romantic, she’s happiest curled up with a book. She has a weakness for handbags, her three pups, and her fighter pilot husband. Chanel writes New Adult contemporary romances and thrillers.

She is the author of I SEE LONDON and LONDON FALLING, published by Harlequin HQN, the upcoming FRENCH KISSED, and FLIRTING WITH SCANDAL, the first book in a new three-book NA series to be released by Penguin/Berkley in 2015.
