When four girls decide to live off campus together as juniors at a college in Michigan, they expect it to be their best year yet. Little do they know, it’s a year that will change the rest of their lives.

BEHIND HER EYES by A.L. JacksonUnable to live down her ex-boyfriend’s deception, Misha is determined to avoid betrayal. When, the new guy next door, Darryn starts to get under her skin, her defenses start to crumble. But trusting Darryn seems impossible, especially if he’s not sure he can trust himself.

SAVING ME by Molly McAdams On the outside, Indy is always ready for a party—but inside she’s breaking. Kier makes a weekly routine of saving the girl next door from herself on Saturday nights… but when will she be ready to remember him on Sunday morning?

FOULING OUT by Tiffany KingWorking at a sports bar, Courtney has become a pro at sidestepping propositions from arrogant jocks—which makes her a more elusive catch for campus basketball star Dalton than he expected. But when he falls for the saucy waitress, Dalton will have to rethink his game plan to prove he’s not the jerk Courtney expects.

BENEATH YOUR LAYERS by Christina LeeIn order to ace her fashion internship, Chloe must team up with local college dropout and set builder, Blake—much to her chagrin. But after some "hands-on" experience, Chloe will have to ask herself if Blake factors into her carefully laid plans…

Review: 4.5 Stars - When We Met, by authors – A.L. Jackson, Molly McAdams, Tiffany King and Christina Lee, tells four separate stories featuring female college roommates and their intertwining lives.

Behind Her Eyes – A.L. Jackson is the first of the four and we have a chance to spend some time with Misha and Darryn. Misha is trying to be brave in returning to college after a horrible, sickening experience with an Ex drove her back to the comfort of home.

Misha has had a sheltered life and with her trust broken and damaged so deeply she’s not about to let anyone hurt her again. Not even when she meets her new neighbor Darryn who she can’t seem to take her eyes off of.

The story and the characters were pretty wonderful to read. I loved watching the two try to find footing in their fledgling relationship and to see Darryn treat Misha as she should have been. There’s a lot to overcome and the two have a bumpy road ahead of them.

Two words for Behind Her Eyes = Loved It!

Saving Me – Molly McAdams, the second of the novellas in this title is about the second roommate – Indy and the quiet boy who keeps her safe time and time again – neighbor Kier.

Indy is cracking and breaking slowly, then all at once from tragic events that have forever changed her life. She drinks to escape and Kier saves her from everyone including herself each week yet she doesn’t remember. It’s through time and events that these two start to come together as their lives and pasts

I loved these two characters’ and how broken they are. How they found each other and stumbled brokenly together. I loved how there was a twist that I didn’t’ see coming! I loved how quiet Kier is and I loved… let’s just say I loved it all, a lot.

Fouling Out – Tiffany King, introduces readers to Courtney and a friend from her past, collegiate basketball star Dalton.

These two have a history and as you read you wonder if they’ll have a future. Courtney is stubborn and hurt and trying to make a better life for herself and Dalton has her in his sights.

They have so many pressures they are facing and it’s only a matter of time before one or both of them blow.

They have some extremely playful moments, along with some seriousness with things they have to face and as always choices to make for their present and futures. I loved how fun these two are, you can tell they have chemistry that goes beyond physical attraction.

This was one of the stories from the four that I found myself laughing out loud because they seriously had some great lines throwing back and forth at each other.

Beneath Your Layers – Christina Lee features the forth roommate Chloe. She’s extremely driven; detail orientated and loves her lists and plans. And when a chance of a lifetime comes up, it puts her in a head-on collision with Blake, college dropout, elusive bad boy.

The two have their work cut out if they are to succeed, for Chloe’s internship to work and for her to be successful, but that’s a hard task at hand when the two are so very different from one another.

As the two get to know each other, they find out they have more in common than they expected and that the other might just have something good to contribute to each other’s lives, if they’d just look past what they’ve assumed and beyond their own careful plans.

I loved how these two opened up to each other and readers have a chance to see a much broader picture and what’s the driving force behind these two – where they are now, and where they want to be. They have choices to make, responsibilities holding them down and questions that they need to answer that are holding them back.

In the end, loved these two characters and their stories…. Tons.

---------
The four stories blend together well as do these amazing authors and their writing. I loved having a chance to read these novellas and being introduced to four characters who I immediately was drawn to and soon after cared about.

I just wish that there was more to read from EACH of these characters’ and these stories. They were just so short, yet perfect to read in one sitting. If these authors were to write longer stories on these four… well really eight amazing characters I’d be more than excited to read them!

Anyone who loves “New Adult” titles will love these. They are the perfect contemporary novella to give you a taste of everything you love in a good book and then some. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from each and every one of these amazing authors. Happy Reading!
