Check out my review: The 5th Wave
Synopsis: The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”
How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.
Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.
Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite 5th Wave by Rick Yancey quote is: “Some things you can never leave behind. They don't belong to the past. They belong to you.”
thank you :)
My favorite quote is:
ReplyDelete“Cruelty isn't a personality trait. Cruelty is a habit.”
“How do you rid the Earth of humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.”
ReplyDelete“What doesn't kill us sharpens us. Hardens us. Schools us. You're beating plowshares into swords, Vosch. You are remaking us. We are the clay, and you are Michelangelo. And we will be your masterpiece.”
ReplyDelete― Rick Yancey, The 5th Wave
I would bring Divergent, In The After, and The Hunger Games.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to The Infinite Sea. Loved The 5th Wave! Awesome giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity!
Well I already know my three books. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, The Encyclopedia Britannica (what? it's one book, just a lot of volumes), and The Boy Scout Handbook. Thanks
ReplyDeleteQuestion 1: This is sooooo hard. I'd have to bring Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I love that book. Then maybe The Chronicles of Narnia bind-up (does that count?) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll probably change my mind as soon as I post this. Ugh.
1.) The 5th Wave, On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves and some sort of Guide to surviving the Apocalypse.
ReplyDelete2.)1.) SteriPen (it's a water purifier)
2.) Gun (an endless supply of bullets will come with)
3.) Lighter
4.) Astronaut Food
5.) Toilet Paper
I know toilet paper doesn't seem all that important but I'm gonna need it. Thanks for the giveaway. I loved The 5th Wave and excited for the sequel.
“How do you rid the Earth of humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.”
ReplyDelete“But if I'm it, the last of my kind, the last page of human history, like hell I'm going to let the story end this way. I may be the last one, but I am the one still standing. I am the one turning to face the faceless hunter in the woods on an abandoned highway. I am the one not running but facing. Because if I am the last one, then I am humanity. And if this is humanity's last war, then I am the battlefield.”
ReplyDeleteLove that quote.
Five things I would want to have.
1. Katana
2. Big Gun with Bullets
3. Food and Water Supply
4. Fortified Bunker
5. Book Stash
1. What 3 books would you want to bring in the event of an apocalypse?
ReplyDeleteWell, i would bring The 5th Wave, The Hunger Games and a book of survival techniques ;)
2. I would want to have my family, my Bible, my bookshelf (counts as one item) the selection, and some ice cream.
ReplyDeleteWell, if the apocalypse were here, I'd need three books to keep my spirits up: I'd have to take Outlander (I can do anything so long as Jamie Fraser is by my side), Gone With the Wind (Scarlett's will is indomitable and it's proof that a destroyed civilization can rebuild itself), and probably the Bible as I'm going to need to do a lot of praying!
ReplyDelete5 items to have in the event of an apocalypse:
ReplyDelete1. A survival handbook
2. one of those water purifier straws
3. a loaded gun
4. first aid kit
5. a lighter
I would bring:
ReplyDeletePoison Princess by Kresley Cole
The Culling by Steven Dos Santos
and The Hunger Games
because they all have a survivalist theme to them and I feel like I would need that in over to, well, survive.
What 3 books would you want to bring in the event of an apocalypse?
ReplyDeleteIf my kindle counts I would have that... and a solar charger.
If not I would bring my book of Shakespeare, my book of word history and maybe the wondrful book of cooking.
