Review: 5 Stars - Revenge Bound is the third title in author Heidi Joy Tretheway’s amazing Rock Star series! Each title is a companion novel to the previous books and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend all titles because not only are they some of my favorites, but the stories intertwine with characters from the same band.
It’s been a pleasure reading Heidi’s books, each one telling the story of a band member of Tattoo Thief and this time we get to spend some one on one time with Jayce. In the past two titles in this series we meet the other band members but never have a chance to get to know them and who they are, so each installment brings to life another rock star and what makes him tick.
So, we have Jayce, who turned out to be amazing! He has his own hang-ups throughout the title. From woman and relationships to issues with the band, Jayce has his work cut out for him when he meets Violet. And watching their story unfold took me to a bit darker place than the previous two books. And there was such a huge creep factor going on in this story. I had a panic attack one minute and was swooning the next.
And Violet’s issues were something that shocked me and I had no idea there was such a thing, or at least to this extent. This is part of the story that makes you think and puts you through an emotional storm filled with a whole range of emotions. I was angry, scared, creeped out and worried to name a few. She’s been through some pretty rotten things and goes out of her way to hide what’s happening to her from everyone including her family and Politian father. And her strength is a force to reckon with and you best not get in her way when she fights for what means the most to her.
Their story is written in dual points of view, which anyone whose read prior reviews from me know just how much I love reading anything written from multi character points of view. And these characters and their lives have a lot going on and it all blends together seamlessly due to Heidi’s writing and storytelling. She’s quickly become a favorite of mine and I look forward to everything she writes. If you have a love for Rock Stars look no further! You’ve found the right author and books to fall in love with.
I’m always looking for new and exciting authors to read and when I first found Heidi I knew I had struck gold. She’s talented and her stories and characters are always interesting. There are layers to her titles and the words she writes make reading easy and books to always look forward to. I highly recommend reading anything she writes so why not start with her Tattoo Thief books? The next one will spotlight the final member from the band and trust me, it looks like it’s going to be a doozy of a read! I know I can’t wait to find out what Dave has gotten them all into. So, go forth and read some of my favorite books!! I know you’ll be wondering why you waited so long.
