Synopsis: How can they have a future when their past is based on a lie?
The perfect preacher’s daughter, Verity Fairchild, has something that only she and God know about and she wants to keep it that way. Her mistake was easy to keep secret when she was out of town, but now that she's come back to Hope Parish for the summer, she comes face-to-face with the guy responsible for it all. Boone Outlaw nearly ruined everything for her and despite the fact that he's now working at her father's church, she's determined to stay as far away from him as possible.
Boone Outlaw doesn't understand Verity's anger towards him. He barely knows her. In high school she was Holy Mary Verity and she was off limits - except in his dreams where Verity seems way too real. Most of the time he was wasted in high school, not the type of boy Verity would ever look at twice, but he can’t shake the feeling that something might have happened between them. He’s going to break his own rules to get the answers he needs straight from Verity.
What will Verity do when she finds something in Boone that she never knew existed and her perfect mistake is the only thing that could stand between them and their happiness? Will she sacrifice Boone to keep her secret?
Review: 4 Stars - A Perfect Mistake, the second title in the A Perfect Secret trilogy from author Zoe Dawson tells the continuing story of three brothers – triplets – with each title focusing on a different brother. This installment we get to spend some quality time with Boone Outlaw and the one girl he doesn’t believe he could ever have a chance with Verity Fairchild, the preachers daughter, oh the trouble these two find themselves in!
While I enjoyed the first title – A Perfect Mess and the mystery of the story along with the introduction to these characters, including the Outlaw triplets that first title just felt a little lacking. However after reading A Perfect Mistake I’m happy to say that I’m yet again totally hooked! If I had to pick one of the triplets as a favorite I’d without a doubt pick Boone.
All three of the brothers are flawed damaged bad boys trying to make a name for themselves and to get out from under the past of their ancestry. The town only see’s the mistakes of their ancestors and holds it against them. However the brothers choose to try to rise above it, all the while trying to deal with their own issues. Boone has many flaws and his own set of troubles that he’s trying to get out from under. He’s working on making a name for himself while staying away from the preacher’s daughter, Verity who’s just returned from doing a mission for the last year out of state.
Verity is extremely angry at Boone for what happened after they graduated from High School, which turns out to be part of the mystery of this title. I had an idea what had happened but I didn’t guess the full extent of what was really going on until much later in the book. She has her own set of troubles that are even harder for her to deal with because of who her father is. It isn’t until you really get into the meat of the story that you see just how hard these two characters are fighting for the happiness they both want and don’t know how to go about getting.
These two have so much to overcome and I wasn’t sure how things would turn out because of everything they were up against, including themselves. There’s plenty of swoonable moments along with some heartbreak that comes about a few times while reading. Verity has her preacher father breathing down her neck to be the best proper person she can be. That’s hard for her as it would be for anyone to live up to his idea of perfect. The pressure that that adds onto her shoulders came through as nothing more than consuming for this character.
The chemistry these two characters have is undeniable. I loved watching each character come alive due to the other. They give each other strength, courage and heart to strive to become what they want to be. They just work extremely well together.
This title isn’t lacking from danger that I came to love in the previous title. There’s also plenty of mystery in this story and as mentioned above a lot of heartache all set to the backdrop of the Deep South.
The Outlaw triplets are and forever will be there for each other and I loved seeing that with Boone, Booker and Brax. I have a feeling that in the next installment that Brax will need his brothers the most and I’m really looking forward to see if River Pearl and Brax will find some way to their happily ever after.
Readers who love a good romance with some bad boys with southern charm, a nice mix of mystery and danger, you should pick up these two titles. I’d love to hear who YOUR favorite Outlaw is and why. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more from this author and Brax’s book to see how the last of these three brothers’ stories come together. Enjoy.

Thanks for the giveaway. As far as "perfect"preacher daughter no one is perfect and I suppose that's how the character got herself into the situation she did by the expectation that she can do no wrong because her father is a preacher.
