Synopsis: #1 New York Times bestselling author S.C. Stephens brings us the next book in her Thoughtless series!

The spotlight doesn't only shine. Sometimes it burns.

Being the bad-boy bassist for the world's hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn't brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.

Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he's caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos. One that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he's seen an ache in her eyes--and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers...

Author Interview:

1. What do you think readers will be surprised to see from Griffin in UNTAMED?

I think readers will be surprised to see how much he grows in this book. He’s evolved a lot since Thoughtless, but that growth is nothing compared to Untamed.

2. What’s your favorite quote or scene from UNTAMED?

Oh man…there are so many! But my ultimate favorite scene is at the end. I don’t want to spoil it, so I can’t really talk about it, but he lets his guard down and is completely open and vulnerable. It’s such a shocking difference from how he normally is that it really gets to me. I choke up every time.

3. What are three things we’d find on your writing desk?

My iPod, my laptop, and my Ned Stark figurine. He helps keep me focused, because… Winter is coming.

4. If UNTAMED was being made into a movie, who would you want to play Griffin?

Chris Hemsworth. And I would need to be on set every day.

Excerpt:

“What was all that about? And what did you mean at the end there? You are a part of this band, Griffin. You always have been, and you always will be.”
Pushing him back a step, I snapped, “It’s a little late for the pep talk, bro. If you think I’m so valuable, you could have stood up for me in there.” I lifted my arms for emphasis. “It gave me the warm and fuzzies how you let him walk all over me.”
Kellan sighed. “It’s complicated, Griff. Matt’s a genius on guitar…he’s…it’s his instrument, the one he’s born to play. But us saying that isn’t an insult to you. You’re amazing on bass, gifted even. It’s just…we each have our part, you know? And we have to do them the best we can.” He put a hand on my shoulder. “For the sake of the band, I’m asking you to let this go and just…forget about lead. Please?”
I could only stare at him. I felt numb inside. Was this what giving up your dream felt like? For as long as I could remember, I’d wanted all eyes on me—I’d wanted to be the center of attention. Matt had never wanted that. But he was given the instrument that shone while I was given the one that everyone forgot about. My part was designed to blend, designed to go unnoticed. It was everything I wasn’t, and I was sick of being stuck with it. I wanted more, but they wouldn’t give me more.
Without answering him, I turned and walked away, toward the house. What could I say to that anyway? Matt had just permanently rejected my chances at ever being lead guitar. Forgetting was the only thing left that I could do. Forget, or stew, and right now, I wanted to stew.
When I got back to the living room, Jenny and Rachel were there working. “Need something, Griffin?” Jenny asked, her pale eyes practically sparkling with happiness.
Ignoring both her good mood and her question, I called out for Anna. “She’s upstairs with Kiera,” Rachel quietly replied.
Harrumphing some sort of thank-you, I began plodding my way to the stairs. Fucking stairs. I stomped up them, cursing my bandmates with each step. I imagined that the carpet treads under my feet were their squishy faces. I felt a little better by the time I reached the top. “Yo, Anna! Where are you?”
Both Anna and Kiera instantly appeared in a bedroom door frame. Simultaneously, they both put fingers to their lips. “Shhhhhhh,” they both scolded.
I was tired of being reprimanded today, so I didn’t lower my voice any. “Wake up Gibson. We’re leaving.”
Anna instantly edged around Kiera to step into the hallway. “What’s wrong?” she asked me, while Kiera stepped out of the room behind her. The two sisters were pretty similar, but Anna definitely had a lot more curves than her slimmer and straighter sister. Generally I appreciated those curves, but at the moment, I just wanted to shove them into the car and get out of here.
“There’s no point being here right now, so we’re leaving. Actually, there’s no point in ever coming back here, so we’re leaving.” I opened the door closest to me, hoping I’d find my sleeping daughter behind it. Nope. Empty.
I moved to try another door, but Anna stepped in front of me. “Let’s go outside, get some fresh air.”
Dramatically tossing my hands in the air, I gave up. “Fine.” What did it matter, since nothing was working for me today anyway?
I headed back to those goddamn stairs while Anna told Kiera she’d be right back. Not waiting for my very pregnant wife, I sped down the steps and out the door. The fresh air on my face helped calm me down a little, but I was still riled up. I paced the front porch while I waited for Anna. Those sanctimonious assholes.
“Griff?” A soft touch on my shoulder spooked me, and I jumped. Turning, I saw Anna behind me, her green eyes worried. “What’s going on?” She indicated the front step, and I grudgingly sat down.
Once I was seated, my mood dropped. I’d started the day so positively, knowing without a shadow of a doubt that this tour was going to be the one. But not anymore. It was going to be the same old crap. Dropping my head, I slumped over. Anna sat beside me, and her fingers lightly caressed my back in a soothing pattern. It helped my residual anger, but not my rising disappointment.
“One song. I asked for one fucking song…and they wouldn’t even give that to me…” I studied my fingers in my lap while my dreams dissolved in my hands. “Matt just told me that he’s not ever going to give me a chance to play lead, and the rest of the guys agreed with him. I’m done…forever stuck on bass…forever in the shadows. I just wanted one song, one moment in the spotlight.” With a sigh, I looked up at her. “Four minutes? Is that so much?”
Anna’s eyes were heavy with sympathy. Reaching up, she threaded her fingers through my hair. “No…that’s not much at all.”
I nodded and dropped my vision to my lap again. “Yeah, I didn’t think so either. But they can’t even give that to me.” The anger resurfaced, wrapping disappointment around it like a blanket. “Between me and you, babe, sometimes…I really don’t like those guys.”
Anna kissed the back of my neck and wrapped an arm around my shoulder in sympathy. “I’m sorry, Griffin.”
Closing my eyes, I let her comfort wash over me. At least there was one person on earth who gave a shit about me.

Order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+

Synopsis: Playing the occasional club gig just isn’t cutting it for twenty-two-year-old cellist Skyler Canby, who’s trying to support herself and her mother back home in Kentucky. Persuaded by her best friend Beth to accompany her on an audition for the first feature film launched by Blackwood Entertainment, she figures why not? Beth’s a shoe-in for the lead, but maybe Skyler’s newly dyed pink hair will help her stand out enough to score a small speaking part.

Never in her wildest dreams does Skyler imagine she’ll land the lead role or that she’ll have her shoes knocked off her feet by the kiss her audition partner, Grey Blackwood, plants on her—a kiss that feels very real and not at all “acted. ”

After throwing a party that causes thousands of dollars of damage to his older brother’s home, reckless musician Grey Blackwood gets roped into working off his debt on the set of his CEO brother’s newest project. Grey spends his days fetching coffee and doing odd jobs around the studio, but he lives for nights when he performs with his band. He knows if he can stay focused, success as a singer is just around the corner. But that’s tough with a distracting pink-haired girl occupying his every waking thought.

Skyler and Grey have every reason to resist each other. But, like a song neither of them can get out of their minds, they have no choice but to go where the music takes them.

Author Interview:

Hi Ladies! Thanks again for taking the time out to chat with me; it’s great to have you back on the blog. This time we’re here to celebrate all that is Bounce!!

I’ve read it, loved it (as I have the previous two books) and I’d love to know a few things about the book, characters and your process when it comes to writing with a co-author.

V: Thanks for having us back! I'm glad you loved the book!

L: Yay! We love it too.

First things first… did you always know you wanted to write a book in the series featuring Adams younger brother Grey? And what is it about him as a character that you both fell in love with while writing his story?

V: I think we did always know we wanted to write about Grey. And for my part, I love how he lives passionately and unapologetically. He's younger than our other two heroes, but in a lot of ways, Grey owns who he is more than they did. He's not trying to please a darn soul. That said, he's not aggressive or pushy about what he wants, either. He's genuinely a sweet guy... who knows what he wants and goes for it.

And then Skyler, she’s super talented and kind of falls into her leading role in more ways than one. What was something about her that neither of you saw coming while reading this layered character?

L: Originally, we’d pitched the book with Beth in Skyler’s role, so just her appearance as the protagonist is a bit unexpected! But we realized it help more possibilities in its way than Beth (who I’d really still love to give a story!) I think her struggles with food and weight came as a bit of a surprise, too, as did her relationship with her father. In some ways, she’s the most uncertain and vulnerable of the series characters, but like her friends, Mia and Beth, she has this core of strength that would appear in unexpected ways for me.

Since this is the last in the series, which I was sad to learn…, what’s something you’ll miss from each of the characters?

V: It's technically the last, but maybe not really the last. We talk about keeping it going, somehow, since we miss working together. As for the characters, I'll miss Ethan's wisdom and Mia's charm. I'll miss Ali's kind heart, and Adam's deep sense of loyalty. And I'll miss Grey's and Skyler's passion.

L: I definitely agree with all of that. I think I’ll miss Ethan’s kindness too. Him coaching those little kids was just the greatest. For Mia, I’ll miss her confidence. Ali: her honesty with herself. Adam: His worldliness and integrity. Sky: Her creativity and mastery of her art(s). Grey: Definitely, his sweetness, his physicality (as I imagine it), his passion, and his raw energy.

And a follow up question, if you had a chance to visit the Boomerang world again, who’s a character or two that you’d love to spend some time with in telling their story?

V: Cookie was a crowd-favorite! I also really liked writing Titus in BOUNCE, and Jason and Isis in BOOMERANG.

L: I could happily write the hell out of half of a Titus/Beth story or a Jason/Isis story. And maybe a Cookie/??? story, though I can’t even imagine the man (beast?) who could take her on.  I can also see great adventures for Paolo or Pippa or Phillipe. All the “P” characters. :)

So, I know I’m extremely curious how you two went about writing these books together? How did you do it?

L:  Basically, Veronica and I would meet over a long weekend and hatch the basic plot and overall story structure without going too deep into scene-by-scene planning, which allowed for some flexibility and mid-course corrections—of which we took happy advantage!

Then, I’d take ownership of one viewpoint (the girl’s), and V would take the other (the dude’s) and we’d shoot the manuscript back and forth, aiming, generally, for a scene a day, except if our schedules became wonky. Then it was two scenes a day.

We’d also email a lot, chat via phone and Skype, and leave each other notes within the file, sometimes suggesting element for upcoming scenes, sometimes just cheering each other on. While the process had its challenges—almost exclusively due to our busy schedules, it really worked great, and I miss it!

Did anything change in your process from writing the first book to the second and now the third?

V: I'm not sure anything changed, as much as that we became more comfortable with the process as we went along. I think we really fell into a groove early with BOUNCE. All of the books were fun to write, but BOUNCE was really fun.

And lastly, what’s next for you two? Will we see more from Noelle August in the future?

V: I have a YA coming up in February called RIDERS. It's a modern-day fantasy, about four teens who become incarnations of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. See: action, adventure, romance. The sequel to that will be out in 2017. Beyond that, I'm working on a few things, but still early stages. And as for Noelle August, it's definitely on the table!

L: I’d like to note that RIDERS is AWESOME and should be immediately pre-ordered by all people, everywhere.

As for me, I feel like I should put all of my many book ideas on a giant Wheel of Fortune and just spin. Or let someone pick it out of the hat.  Maybe we need a giveaway where someone gets to dictate what I write next, and I dedicate the book to him or her! Any takers?

Ladies, as always… it’s been a pleasure! Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer these questions. Can’t wait to see what you write for us readers/fans next!

Thanks so much for having us!

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+

Synopsis: Isla and Ben were just sixteen when the Boxing Day tsunami tore through their beach resort in Thailand. Just days after forming a life-changing bond, both were missing and presumed dead. Unbeknown to each other and haunted by one of the biggest natural disasters in world history, Isla and Ben are living very different lives, until over a decade later when a chance encounter throws them back together.

Based on real life events, The Day of the Wave is a story of healing, learning to let go, and figuring out when to hold on with everything you have left.
Author Interview:

Hi Becky, Welcome to A Life Bound By Books and thanks for chatting with me today. I’m excited to have you visiting the blog. I have some questions that I’m eager to ask, so how about we get started?

Hi Jen, thanks so much for having me on the blog!!

In a few sentences can you describe The Day of the Wave for future readers?

Well, it’s a book about finding hope where hope is lost and it’s based on real-life events. We follow Ben and Isla, who were sixteen when the 2004 tsunami struck their Thailand beach resort. Both were missing, assumed dead, until they bump into each other by coincidence ten years later.

What inspired you to write about the Boxing Day Tsunami in The Day of the Wave?

It was weird really, but the idea just came to me one day while I was in Sri Lanka. I spent a month there and consequently met a lot of people who were affected by the tsunami in 2004. You can still see the effects of it in some places and everyone has a story about that time. I also met some people who had a narrow escape when I was in Thailand - they had to run up the hill on Phi Phi to get away. It all started mulling on my mind and I knew I wanted to take some of the survival stories I was hearing and fill in the gaps - how could I write a work of fiction about something so devastating and still do it justice? All I knew is that I had to try.

Without giving away too much, can you tell us your favourite line/s from The Day of the Wave?

'Ben, I've been so stupidly scared of everything for so long. Everything. I don't want to be that person anymore. I don't want to be scared.'
I let out another sigh as she searches my eyes. The corridors are calling me down them again till I can see the workings of her brain. She's pulling me on a fucking roller coaster ride here but she's making up for lost time and God knows we lost enough.
'Are you sure you're alright?' she says now. I realize I'm chewing my cheeks, gripping my beer hard. There are things I don't normally let myself think, let alone talk about most of the time. They itch and burn under my skin while I run, but I run till I'm numb every time. I'm not as numb with her. And maybe that's what scares me.” - Excerpt From: Becky Wicks. “The Day of the Wave.”

The Day of the Wave is very different to your Starstruck series because of it's factual base which did you enjoy writing more?

I’m not sure… I really love writing all my books because like all writers I get pretty lost in the characters and their worlds. I think it would be fair to say I feel more accomplished for writing this one, over the others. I had to do a lot of research to get my facts straight, from the descriptions of Thailand to the times and dates that corresponded with what really happened during that period. I had a lot of tsunami nightmares for weeks!

You have travelled a lot, where is your favourite place you have visited- any particular places that have proved to be an inspiration to your writing?

I love Bali, which is why it creeps into so many of my books. It was my home and base for the best part of two years and I used to hide out on the Gili islands and scribble away. It’s so peaceful and the locals are so friendly. It’s one of my “must go back to” spots for sure and it probably always will be. I was also really inspired in Cartagena, in Colombia. I set another book called Moon Burn there, which is a fantasy romance about meds and humans and the oceans gone mad. It’s on Amazon now.

Are there any books you read as a child that you feel may have influenced you to become an author? Or did you always know this is what you wanted to do?

I always knew I wanted to write and I was always writing! I used to fill hundreds of notebooks with random stories about talking animals! I was hugely influenced by Enid Blyton, and Roald Dahl - I just loved those imaginary worlds they created, like The Wishing Chair, The Magic Faraway Tree, and The BFG and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. I still think those are some of the greatest stories of all time, what an imagination it takes to write stuff like that!

What was the last book you read that blew you away?

Charlie and Pearl by Tammy Robinson - It’s really beautiful!

What's next for Becky Wicks?

Moon Burn promo I think! But I’m also working on a romance novel about Reincarnation which I’m getting quite into, as well as a book in poem form, a bit like Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes, except it’s a romance. It’s a bit of an experiment but I like to shake things up a bit and try new things! You never know what people will respond to in a good way so it’s important to just keep writing I think.
 :-)

Becky, thanks for taking the time to talk, it's been great having you join us on the blog. Feel free to drop by anytime, we'd love to have you. Author interview by:

About the Author:

Hey guys! So, the Starstruck Series is my new adult romance offering to the masses. Before He was Famous follows Noah and Chloe's struggle to handle the fame Noah finds through winning a TV talent show. There's plenty of steamy sex and suspense in there, (ah, the thrills of when best friends become lovers). Before He Was Gone follows Chloe's friend Alyssa onto a Survivor-style reality TV show. Before He Was a Secret follows Stephanie's journey to Nashville. With The Day of the Wave I explored the consequences of the Boxing Day tsunami and in Moon Burn things get fantastical with mers....

I've also written three funny travel books about my time in Dubai, Bali and South America (HarperCollins). My first book, Burqalicious - The Dubai Diaries, my second book, Balilicious - The Bali Diaries and my third, Latinalicious -The South America Diaries are out now as ebooks - go ahead and make your feet even itchier.

I've also written a comedy romance with author Sarah Alderson under the name Lola Salt, called The Extraordinary Life of Lara Craft (not Croft) which should raise a giggle or two... think Bridget Jones if Jackie Collins had written it!

Title: The Fearless
Author: Emma Pass
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers, 368 Pages (April 14th, 2015)
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

Synopsis: For fans of The Hunger Games, Matched, Divergent, and The Fifth Wave, this fast-paced futuristic thriller tells the story of seventeen-year-old Cass and her fight to protect her younger brother from an unimaginably terrifying enemy.

The Deadliest Enemy feels no fear.

When the Fearless invaded, they injected everyone in their path with the same serum that stripped them of humanity.

Life became a waking nightmare.
Cass has the invasion seared in her memory. Seven years later, she and her brother, Jori, are living on Hope Island in a community of survivors. No one can enter, and no one can leave.
It's the only way to stay safe.

But when Hope Island's security is breeched and Jori is taken by the Fearless, Cass will risk everything to get him back.

Author Interview:

Hi Emma, welcome! It’s great to have you here today and for taking the time out to visit with me about your up and coming release – The Fearless.

Hi! Thank you for having me, it's great to be here.

1. Can you tell us in your own words what The Fearless is about?

Troops from the UK and their allies are given a drug to stop them suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which is a big problem in the military. It's soon discovered that the drug has an unexpected side effect – it helps prevent whoever's taking it from feeling fear. Then the enemy get hold of the formula and strengthen it, and start forcing everyone to take it. This creates the Fearless, psychopathic super-soldiers who invade every country in the world.

When Cass, the main character, is 10, the Fearless arrive in the UK and she and her pregnant mother are forced to flee to Hope, an island off the south coast of England which has been set aside as a refuge for a chosen few. On the way, her mum gives birth to her brother, Jori. Ten years later, Cass's mum has died and she's been left in charge of Jori, who's now a cheeky 7-year-old. One day, a mysterious boy called Myo arrives on the island. The islanders are suspicious and lock him up. Then Jori is kidnapped by a Fearless, who somehow got onto the island at the same time as Myo. Myo says if Cass releases him, he'll go with her to the mainland and help her get Jori back. So Cass returns to the mainland for the first time in 10 years, to a world very different to the one she left behind and a fight for survival against an unimaginably terrifying enemy…

2. What was the easiest and hardest part in writing this title?

The hardest scene was when Cass, Myo and the people they're with meet someone called the Ragged Man – and he has a person with him that Cass recognises. This was a hard scene to write emotionally because I couldn't stop thinking about how I'd feel if it was me.

The easiest was when Jori is kidnapped by the Fearless. I could see it all so vividly, it was playing like a film in my head as I wrote!

3. Can you talk to us about the world you created in which your character Cass lives in?

It's all based on places I know – I grew up in the south-east of England, so I had a vivid picture of what her childhood home and the countryside around it would look like, and how she'd feel when that almost idyllic existence was shattered. And part of the book is set in Sheffield, a city close to where I live now. It was fun – and quite chilling – imagining what it might look like after 10 years of the Fearless being here: ruined buildings, roads cluttered with old vehicles, everything overgrown and wild.

It's a brutal world, and a dangerous one, but one you might still recognise, which will make you long for the life you used to have. As long as you survive, that is…

4. Could you describe Cass in 3 words?

Loyal, courageous, determined.

5. If the Fearless were alive and walking the planet, what would you tell people how to protect against being given the serum?

I'm not sure what you could do except try to keep out of the Fearless' way! Trouble is, the serum makes them stronger and faster than the average person. They're very dangerous. If you were cornered by one, your only chance of escape would be if you had a weapon of some sort, like a gun.

6. What do you hope readers take away with them after reading Cass’s story?

That in even the darkest of situations, there's always hope. And that scentists don't always get it right!

7. And lastly, can you tell us anything about what you’re currently working on and when it’s supposed to be published?

I am working on a new book, but I don't have a publishing contract for it yet. I'm very superstitious about my books when they're at that stage, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to say it's top secret at the moment. Sorry!

Thanks for hanging out with me today Emma! It was great getting to know more about The Fearless and Cass. Feel free to stop by again sometime!

Thank you! They were great questions – I really enjoyed chatting to you.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

Author Interview:

Hey Katy! Long time no talk my friend! It’s great to have you on the blog. I’ve missed talking with you and I can’t tell you how excited I am to help celebrate your upcoming title – Manwhore.

So, let’s get started!

Lisa! So happy to be here talking to you right now. Thanks so much for having me over. I've missed you too and I can't wait for you to read Manwhore! I hope you love it like I do. :)

First… can you tell us, in your own words a bit about Manwhore?

Manwhore is the story of a young journalist who puts her heart and body in danger when the exposé she’s writing leads her into the arms of a notorious womanizer. Their romance is an exquisitely slow-burning process that kept me glued to my seat, enjoying every moment!

Many people know your writing from your REAL series and characters, how does this differ new series from that and those characters?

I think Manwhore is a more "mature" side of my writing, even though it's probably the most modern and fun book I've ever written. The story is simpler, but it’s the simplicity that makes the characters come across so well and so powerfully. There aren't fights or guns or rock concerts in Manwhore, so instead, we're in Chicago, in the shoes of a 'normal' girl who catches the eye of a very elusive and powerful man.

What were the hardest and the easiest part in writing this new title?

The hardest part was the beginning. I usually labor over my beginnings a lot. They need to be perfect and sometimes I need to write for a little while to determine where my "best" start is. I started this book initially with a club scene that ends up several chapters behind simply because I realized I was leaping straight into the action and I needed to know more about the heroine and her task first. I still love that club scene so much, though, it's one of my favorites in the book!

If you could ask your two main characters two quick questions for me?

Oh absolutely.

What was their first impression of each other?

Rachel: Malcolm, ohhhh. He's like a storm, and so hot and self-possessed. Electric. I could hardly breathe or think.
Malcolm: She was a mess. Blushing under my stare. Shy but inquisitive. Nervous. And lovely.

And looking back if they had to describe each other in three words, what would those words be?

Rachel: Confident. Relentless. Intense.
Malcolm: Innocent. Responsible. Addictive.

Without giving too much away would you mind sharing with us your favorite line or two from the book?

I have so many! Malcolm isn't a man of many words but whenever he talks, I melt so hard and so does Rachel. I don't want to spoil any of his words so I'll go with two of my favorites from Rachel:

He is Sin Itself...and I feel like an absolute virgin.

To him: "You make my world spin a little faster."

And lastly, since this is the exciting beginning of a new series, can you tell us all, because I know I’m dying to know… what we can look forward to for this series? And what we can look forward to from you in the future?

I'm truly thrilled to share this series. It's modern and exhilarating, the first stories so far focusing on a single couple - Malcolm and Rachel - as they fall in love and try to have a relationship together even though neither of them had 'room' in their lives for that.

Katy, as always it’s a pleasure to have you on my blog. I am really looking forward to reading Manwhore and I hope we get a chance to catch up soon!!! Miss you tons and a HUGE congrats on the new book.

Lisa, thank you so so much for having me over and I definitely look forward to catching up. My warmest hugs and all my gratitude for your time and for inviting us over! XO

Title: Don’t Let Me Fall
Author: Briana Pacheco
Publisher: (December 4th 2014)
Genres: New Adult, Romance
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+

Synopsis: A New Adult romance stand-alone novel.

I don’t want to be here.

When you lose the one person that was your whole life, you’ll understand. For me, it was my best friend, Alice. We spent every second of every day together. We planned a life. I was actually living. I was happy.

Now, it’s just gone.

And I’m still here. Lonely. A tatted up body with an empty soul.

Getting inside of my head won’t be pretty. I’m warning you now that you won’t like me. I hate people besides my family. I hate everything around me. I just want to be alone. And I HATE how Logan Mercer doesn’t understand that. He’s everywhere; getting inside of my head, kissing me when he shouldn’t be, messing everything up, and trying to get me to open up. He’s making me crazier than I already am. Why do I need to talk about my life? Why does he even care?

Why doesn’t anyone understand that I don’t want to get attached to people? I don’t want to get fixed.

I want to be alone.

I want to be free.

I want to fly.

My name is Rebeckah Lennox and this is my story…of how I fell.

WARNING: Due to heavy subject matter, strong language, possible triggering descriptions of self-harm and some sexual situations this book is not recommended for anyone under the age of 17.

Author Interview:

Q: What inspired you to write your newest book?

A: People in general. Everything a person says or does-positive and negative-is powerful. I admit to people-watching so I see a lot of things. What captures my attention the most are the quiet people. The ones taking everything in but not letting anything out. They’re fighting their own battles that no one can see. They feel trapped and I want to set them free in any way I can. That includes writing.

Q: How did you come up with the title?

A: Don’t Let Me Fall’s title hit me while I was about to fall asleep one night. Rebeckah’s story will not be pretty nor happy. She wants to give up and in a way, she already has. I wanted to give her something to fight for. To live for. I didn't want her to fall.

Q: Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

A: Yes, I want readers to see the ugly side of life; the hurt, the pain and the loss one goes through when losing a vital part of your life bur I also want readers to see that there is hope. After everything, giving up shouldn't be an option.

Q: What is your favorite book?

A: I have to cheat and go with a series. Two to be exact. The Addicted series and the spin-off, the Calloway Sisters by Krista and Becca Ritchie. I absolutely adore these ladies and they are on my auto-buy list!

Q: Do you see writing as a career?

A: Writing is my life. I’d do it all day long if I had the chance!

Q: Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

A: My books; The Enough Trilogy and Don’t Let Me Fall, take place in or around Boston because it’s where I’m from so everything is within grasp. I need to travel soon for upcoming books and I’m looking forward to it!

Q: Do you have any advice for other writers?

A: Write. Whenever you have time and the voices in your head don’t stop, just write. Don’t let anyone stop you. The best ideas come when you least expect them.

Q: Do you listen to music while you write? What’s your favorite song?

A: All the time. Music plays a huge part in my writing so the playlists are on repeat while working on my book. And as of right now, my favorite song will have to be Untitled 27 by Polly Scattergood. It’s the theme song for Don’t Let Me Fall and 100% Rebeckah.

Q: Where can I stalk you?

A: (Love this question) You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr and Goodreads.

About the Author:

Briana Pacheco hates referring to herself in third person so let’s start off with I’m the author of the Enough Trilogy, Don’t Let Me Fall, and many more books to come in the future. I’m from Boston and a wannabe explorer so one day I’ll travel the world. So far, that’s only happening when I write but I’m not giving up just yet. I love coffee, music and books, and I have an obsession with tattoos and accents. Sadly, I have neither so I make my characters have them instead. I’m an avid reader and if I’m not writing, you’ll find me with a book (or Kindle) in my hands. I love hearing from readers about anything so please don’t be shy and stalk me.

Author Interview:

Hi Diana! Welcome and thanks for taking the time to visit with me today about your latest book – Wanting Forever.

Hey, Lisa! Thanks so much for having me. I love A Life Bound By Books!

For those who haven’t heard about the book yet – Wanting Forever is a contemporary “New Adult” title about Sam Waters and Aston Hopewell. Can you tell readers… in your own words what their story is about?

Sure! WANTING FOREVER is about two people crossing paths who never expected to meet. They’re from two totally different worlds. In fact, Sam isn’t even supposed to be in Nelson Island, which is Aston’s hometown. He just ends up there after he took off from his own hometown. He left home after sacrificing his own freedom for a girl he grew up loving and protecting. Throughout his journey in Nelson Island, he grows into the man he was always supposed to be, and Aston is a huge part of that growth.

What was the easiest and hardest thing about writing this story?

The easiest thing about writing this story was falling in love with my hero. Sam is different from other New Adult heroes I’ve read. He’s all man, but he doesn’t have to sleep around or be majorly possessive to show it. Not that I haven’t fallen in love with plenty of those heroes in recent NA novels myself! But Sam is definitely one-of-a-kind.

The most difficult thing about it was making sure that Sam and Aston didn’t jump the gun! I didn’t want their feelings for each other to be rushed or to happen sooner than would be acceptable for readers.

And while we’re talking about writing, can you tell us about how you came up with the idea?

Actually, the working title came to me one day completely out of the blue. I wanted to write a story called WANTED, and I wanted the hero to ride into a strange town on a Harley. From that tiny thought, Sam was born. He turned out less rough-around-the-edges than I intended, because his heart is pure sweetness. But I ended up loving him just the way he turned out.

Can you share with us a favorite line or two from Wanting Forever?

My very favorite line comes when Sam sees Aston as the sexy woman she is for the first time. The moment takes place outside their favorite bar, and she appears outside as he’s arriving, wearing cowgirl boots. Sam can’t freaking resist those boots!

“Aston,” he said, his voice barely a whisper. She trembled, finally recognizing the precarious situation they were tiptoeing around. “Yes Sam?” “I need you to step away from me, now. Go inside, grab me a beer, and get your ass and those boots under a table. Okay?”

I know I wrote it, but geez! It makes me swoon every single time.

Could you ask Sam and Aston to each describe the other for us?

Sam, of Aston: She’s incredibly strong. She’s crazy-beautiful. She’s also incredibly lonely. I can’t for the life of me figure out why every man in her life treats her like she’s unbreakable. She’s far from it. She needs someone to hold her sometimes, whether she think she wants it or not.

Aston, of Sam: He’s big…really big. All those ex-football player muscles could just wrap me up tight. He’s hot as hell, but he drives me insane! Why doesn’t he realize that everything he’s ever needed is standing right in front of him? All he has to do is reach out…and take it.

And lastly, what do you hope readers will take away from Sam and Aston’s story?

Actually, what I want them to take away has nothing to do with Sam and Aston! There’s a major betrayal in the story, and I want readers to keep an open mind about it. There’s two sides to every story, and Ever’s story definitely needs to be told. That’s why her story is book two, a novella just for Ever called EVER ALWAYS. It’s going to be such a raw, emotional read!

Diana thanks for stopping by.It was great spending some time with you, please feel free to drop in anytime!!

I loved being here today, Lisa! And I would love to come back sometime soon!

Author Interview:

Hi Lisa! Welcome, welcome! I’m excited to have you here for Leap Books Monster Backlist Bash!!!

Today I thought we’d talk about you’re a bit about your book Deep In the Meadows. So, how about we dive right in and get started?

Sure thing.

Deep in the Meadows sounds like a perfect book to read at this time of the year. Being that Halloween is just a couple days away, how would you describe in your own words what this title is about?

This book is about a girl that lost her brother, someone she was super close to, then to have ripped away from a horrible accident. But as the anniversary of her brother’s death nears,  Bianca (Bee) begins to feel his presence more and more. Soon Bee begins to realize it may not have been an accident after all.  From that point on, she begins to search for the truth. And what she uncovers is something she could have never imagined.

What was the easiest and hardest part in writing this title?

The easiest part was writing the very first rough draft. The hardest part was the editing with Leap.

Can you share with us your favorite line or two from Deep in the Meadows?

“Jimmy’s dead.”

This is at the ending of the first chapter. And it’s one of the most compelling cliffhangers I’ve written. I love it. It’s really impactful.

Since Halloween is just days away, how about a few questions for you AND your character Bee?

Okay.

Favorite Halloween Candy?   For Me, 100 Grand and for Bee, Reese’s cups.
Favorite Scary Movie?   Beneath. There’s a few “Beneath” movies. But it’s the one where the sister gets burned and dies in a car accident, then comes back to haunt her sister. It’s kind of like Deep, but really different in the same right. Bee, she’d rather watch an Adam Sandler movie.

Favorite Halloween costume you’ve dressed up with in the past?

The “Queen of the Damned.” For Bee, the queen of hearts.

Do you believe in Ghosts?

Absolutely, without a doubt. For Bee, yes. Now she believes too.

If you could be any supernatural creature what would you want to be and why?

I’d like to be Spiderman, does that count? He flies around town with his web and helps people. That’s what I’d love to do. For Bee, she’d want to be a werewolf, not to hurt anyone of course, but to run free in the forest, not be scared.

What are each of you most scared of?

For me, it’s losing my kids. And for Bee it’s being alone in a black forest.

What plans do you AND Bee have for this Halloween?

We just moved recently, so I’m eager to give out candy and see the new kind of costumes out there. For Bee she’s going to a big Halloween party with her friends and dressing up as a nurse.

And lastly, what do you hope readers will take away from Bee’s story after reading?

That there may actually be a presence out there, that’s around you, and helping you along the way. I truly believe that when loved ones pass away, their presence still remains.

Lisa and Bee, thanks for spending some time with me and talking about the book Deep in the Meadows and all things Halloween!! It’s been great and I Lisa, feel free to drop on by sometime again soon!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween to you too, and to everyone, have a safe holiday!

Title: Chasing Power
Author: Sarah Beth Durst
Publisher: Bloomsbury, 368 Pages (October 14th, 2014)
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK

Synopsis: Lies, secrets, and magic — three things that define Kayla's life.

Sixteen-year-old Kayla plans to spend her summer hanging out on the beach in Santa Barbara and stealing whatever she wants, whenever she wants it. Born with the ability to move things with her mind — things like credit cards, diamond rings, and buttons on cash registers — she has become a master shoplifter. She steals to build up a safety net, enough money for her and her mom to be able to flee if her dad finds them again. Well, that, and the thrill of using her secret talents.

But her summer plans change when she's caught stealing by a boy named Daniel — a boy who needs her help and is willing to blackmail her to get it. Daniel has a talent of his own. He can teleport, appearing anywhere in the world in an instant, but he lies as easily as he travels. Together, they embark on a quest to find and steal an ancient incantation, written on three indestructible stones and hidden millennia ago, all to rescue Daniel's kidnapped mother. But Kayla has no idea that this rescue mission will lead back to her own family — and to betrayals that she may not be able to forgive... or survive.

Author Interview

Hi Sarah! It’s great to have you back on the blog for a chat again. And a HUGE congrats on your latest young adult title – Chasing Power releasing today!!!

Thanks so much for having me here!  And thanks for the congrats!  I'm so excited!!

A lot of people say that having a book published feels like having a baby.  I think it feels a bit more like having a baby unicorn.  You spend several months muttering to yourself (at least through your fingers, if not out loud), trying to cast some kind of magic spell that will create a story capable of living on its own.  And eventually, you finish and move on to other stories... and then all of a sudden, pub day!  Your unicorn is born!

Okay, that came out much cheesier than it sounded in my head.

Also, there are no unicorns in CHASING POWER.  But there is a girl with telekinesis...

So, can you tell readers in your own words what Chasing Power is about?

CHASING POWER is about a girl named Kayla, who can move things with her mind.  She meets a boy, Daniel, who can teleport -- and who lies as easily as he travels.  Together, they go on an adventure to save his kidnapped mother.  But Kayla has no idea that this rescue mission will lead back to her own family, and to betrayals that she may not be able to forgive... or survive.

What was the one of the most memorable moments you had while writing this book?

I decided very early on -- in fact, it was probably the first thing that I decided -- that Kayla would have very limited powers.  She can only move very light objects, no heavier than a pencil.  So the most fun writing moments were figuring out how to, for example, rob a jewelry store with just a ball of tin foil.

What are three things, three funny or quirky things you can tell us about your two main characters – Kayla and Daniel?

Kayla has telekinesis, a loose grasp on the concept of personal property (a.k.a. she's a thief), and a mother who is not nearly as flighty as she pretends to be.

Daniel can teleport, has papered the walls of his room with maps and photos of places he wants to visit, and has never been to Wyoming -- because he wants to keep one place in the world that he's never been.

If you had a secret ability, what would you wish it was? And what on the flip side of this question, what secret ability do you think would be a nightmare to have?

Telekinesis would be fun, and teleportation would save a lot on airfare.  But I think what I'd want is really, really good luck.

On the flip side... I think the ability to understand animals could beless wonderful than it seems.  It would be like being inside that bacon snack dog commercial, where all you hear all the time is "Feed me!  Feed me!  Feed me!"  You'd wake up every morning to birds cursing each other out for invading their territory, and fall asleep every night to the sound of your beloved cat contemplating your demise...

Let’s say you get the call from Hollywood and they are making a movie or TV show out of your book. Who could you see playing Kayla and Daniel – along with any of the other characters we might meet while reading?

I picture Kayla as that girl in the Imagine Dragons "Radioactive" music video.  Except her hair is pink and black.  As for Daniel... I picture a teenage Josh Hartnett.  Not sure about Selena and Moonbeam...  Any ideas?

What was the most challenging thing you faced while writing this book?

Every book has its challenges -- and most of them come from inside your own brain, that little voice of doubt that whispers to you at unhelpful moments.  The trick is to silence that voice long enough to get the pages written, and then bring it out again to help with revision.  Giving yourself pep talks helps.  Also, chocolate.

And lastly, what do you hope readers take away from Kayla and Daniels story after reading?

I hope to take readers on a ride.  That's one of the things that I think makes books magical -- the ability to pluck people out of their lives and take them away from whatever is bothering them for at least a few hours.  I hope to do that.  I hope readers race through the pages and then finish with smiles on their faces.

Sarah, as always it’s a pleasure chatting with you. Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions. I hope you’ll drop in again!

Thanks so much!  Pleasure to be here!

I am so excited about the release of this book!!! I have loved the previous books in Sarina's Ivy Years series, and this male/male romance was pretty amazing. Today, I have an interview with Sarina about the series, as well as a exciting giveaway at the bottom of the post!!

9780991068067_med Title: The Understatement of the Year (The Ivy Years #3)
Author: Sarina Bowen
Publisher: Rennie Road Books , (October 15th, 2014)
Add to: Goodreads
Order here: Amazon, Barnes and Noble, The Book Depository, Amazon UK, Kobo, iBooks

NOTE: This is a "New Adult" novel. Due to mature content this title is recommended for ages 17+

Synopsis: What happened in high school stayed in high school. Until now.

Five years ago, Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then, he’s made an art of hiding his sexual orientation from everyone. Including himself.

So it’s a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless. For Graham, there is only one possible reaction: total, debilitating panic. With one loose word, the team’s new left wing could destroy Graham’s life as he knows it.

John Rikker is stuck being the new guy. Again. And it’s worse than usual, because the media has latched onto the story of the only “out” player in Division One hockey. As the satellite trucks line the sidewalk outside the rink, his new teammates are not amused.

And one player in particular looks sick every time he enters the room.

Rikker didn’t exactly expect a warm welcome from Graham. But the guy won’t even meet his eyes. From the looks of it, his former… best friend / boyfriend / whatever isn’t doing so well. He drinks too much and can’t focus during practice.

Either the two loneliest guys on the team will self destruct from all the new pressures in their lives, or they can navigate the pain to find a way back to one another. To say that it won’t be easy is the Understatement of the Year.

Warning: unlike the other books in this series, this heartbreaking love story is about two guys. Contains sexual situations, dance music, snarky t-shirts and a poker-playing grandmother.

Interview with Sarina:

Q: Is Harkness College from the Ivy Years series based on Yale?
A: Heck yes! But it’s based on a Yale which has gone soft and fuzzy in my mind, in all the best ways. So I’ve fictionalized it to avoid the errors and inaccuracies that I’d be likely to make if I tried to get everything just right.
Q: So what parts of Harkness are the Yaliest?
A: The architecture! The turrets and gargoyles, the Harry Potteresque dining halls, the slate footpaths and the creaky oak doors. The iron gates. The courtyards. The window seats, where you perch while you wonder if you’ll find true love. (Or just do your homework.)
Q: Why did you decide to write a book about two guys this time?
A: In the first place, I didn’t really decide, so much as the idea for Graham’s struggle surgically implanted itself in my brain and would not let go. And when I pictured the two of them meeting up again in a locker room after five years of silence, I just got the chills. This became the book that I cheated on all my other books to write. (If my editors of other projects are reading this… sorry! I’ll get back to work now. Probably.)
Q. Why college hockey?
A. Because… duh! Hockey players are hot. And hockey is a fast-paced game where whining is categorically disallowed. Interestingly, fighting is not legal in college hockey, either. At the college level, it’s all about the game. I love that!
Q: How many Ivy Years books do you have planned?
A: Five, if you’re counting the novella. After Rikker and Graham’s book, Bella is going to need her own book. What, you haven’t met Bella yet? Just wait. She steals quite a few scenes in The Understatement of the Year. She is a kick-ass chick in much the same way as Corey, Scarlet and Katie. You’ll love her. You can read a bit more about all the titles on The Ivy Years page on my website.
Q: How did you come to write romance?
A: I’ve always loved novels—all kinds of novels. And my goal is to make the reader do three things when she’s reading my book: cry, laugh, and sigh. Romance is the best vehicle for that goal, and I’ve really enjoyed the ride.
Previous books in the series:
#1 The Year We Fell Down (March 2014)
#2 The Year We Hid Away (June 2014)
#2.5 Blonde Date (July 2014)
