09 December 2011

Hey guys! My house has suddenly blown up with toys and gifts! It's funny how you buy and shove it all away in closets, cupboards, under beds, etc until one day you are forced to bring it all out and see what you have, what you forgot about, what you still need to pick up and what you might want to maybe take back. That's what happened here yesterday and today. I'm about to start what'll feel like endless wrapping - I wrap everything my parents are giving to everyone as well. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing it, until I'm almost at the end. But that's another story lol

So, for Christmas this year, we're giving my - almost 6 year old niece - one of those Play Kitchen Sets, kind of like the one I've shown here. She LOVES to take peoples orders and "cook" for everyone using random things from the kitchen. Her favorite thing to do is make coffee and hot coco for everyone. She can do it for hours! So, we figured this would be the perfect thing for her this year. The good thing, when she grows out of it, she can pass it down to her baby sister.

While this kitchen is only one of the gifts in our front room right now - sounds funny when I say it like that - we know it'll be a big hit with her. I can't wait to see her reaction to this. I can't wait to see my other niece and nephews reactions to ALL their gifts this year. It'll be another great Christmas that's for sure, but seriously aren't they all? It's my favorite time of year and the thing I love to do the most - give to others. I'm such a Christmas/Holiday's person. I'd make the perfect Elf for Santa, that's for sure!

Is there something you guys are giving - besides books (which I always give to all my nieces and nephews every Christmas and Birthday. I want to be the "book" aunt lol) - that you can't wait to see the persons reaction to? How is everyone getting ready for Christmas? Are you prepared or behind? Are you a Christmas Eve shopper? I'd love to hear from you guys.

  2. I have most of my shopping done already. Whatever is not done will get done this weekend. I do not want to go out at the last minute for gifts lol.

    Good luck with wrapping everything!
